Principal’s Welcome
Principal's Welcome
I am delighted to welcome you and your family to the Christian Brothers College (CBC) community. CBC offers Reception to Year 12 education across two campuses in the heart of Adelaide City on the sacred land of the Kaurna people. As an Edmund Rice community, our Junior (Reception to Year 6) and Senior campuses (Years 7 to 12) specialise in the formation of young men and offer a liberating education within an inclusive community that is committed to the values of Faith, Excellence, Community, and Compassion.
Now in its 145th year, CBC has a rich tradition and renowned reputation for providing high-quality, supportive, engaging, and values-rich education. Our heritage provides a steady foundation upon which the school continues to grow and evolve, responsive to the needs of our students, both now and in the future. We blend history with innovation, and in doing so, offer an education that allows every student to dream big and realise their incredible potential.
Our convenient central city location offers an intimate environment, where our boys are provided with a broad range of academic, cultural, and sporting opportunities within the junior, middle and senior phases of learning. Our comprehensive academic offerings, combined with a commitment to providing Inclusive Education and Gifted and Talented programs, ensure every student can pursue challenging goals in all aspects of their education. Our extensive co-curricular program includes a wide range of activities to ensure a holistic approach toward education.
We seek to inspire students to be curious about their learning, courageous and innovative in meeting challenges, and inclusive in their relationships. Our goal is to walk with them throughout their CBC journey and watch them graduate as confident, hope-filled, purposeful young men, leaders, and agents of change who demonstrate ambition and compassion.
CBC is a wonderfully warm, welcoming, supportive, and dynamic community. I invite you to find out more about us by browsing our website, reading through our Prospectus, or giving us a call. I look forward to meeting you, taking you on a tour of our wonderful school, and warmly welcoming you and your child into the CBC community.

The World
Before Us
We believe through quality education in a supportive environment, extensive opportunities, and the values we instil at CBC – our boys have the ‘world at their feet’ – our statement, ‘The World Before Us’ encapsulates this core belief.
All of this is underpinned by our College values of Faith, Excellence, Community and Compassion, and, importantly our identity as a proud Catholic College in the Edmund Rice tradition.
Christian Brothers College has a long and proud tradition of providing quality education for boys by nurturing young men in an environment that values lifelong learning, a strong community spirit, and respect for others.
Our students are challenged and inspired to reach their full potential through a well-developed and diverse curriculum designed specifically to cater to the educational requirements of young men. CBC understands the learning needs of boys and through this diverse curriculum, supported by our extra-curricular program and vocational educational training, our students are offered every opportunity to succeed.
