Early Years

6 months to
5 Years

Our Early Learning Centre (ELC), surrounded by the beautiful City East Parklands, welcomes boys and girls over the age of 6 months. We provide a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment where dignity, respect, and kindness are valued.

In partnership with parents and caregivers, our ELC supports every child to grow and develop age-appropriate abilities to reach their full potential. Inclusive and respectful of culture, race, gender, and ability, our caring staff welcomes and celebrates diversity and recognises each child as a unique and valued individual.

Our ELC is a place for children to grow, explore and flourish. We are committed to fostering a love of learning in a supportive, inquiry-play-based environment, inspired by the Reggio Emilia principles, and aim to develop each child’s individuality.

Through our open-ended environments and experiences, the children are involved in deep learning and exploration. Each child is actively involved in their learning and is making connections and developing significant understandings of the world in which they live. We follow each child’s individual interests and talents to promote inquiry learners. Children are encouraged to use language to investigate, explore, and reflect on their experiences. They are listened to with respect, believing that their questions and observations are an opportunity to learn and search together. All children are encouraged to express themselves and their ideas by developing their hundred languages of thinking, expressing and understanding themselves, and relating to others. The holistic play-based program guides children in a positive manner and provides educational experiences that promote agency, taking responsibility, achieving independence, and socialising with others, while developing cognitive skills, creativity, communication skills, and ingenuity.

The Universal Access Program is seamlessly integrated into our long day-care service, ensuring preschool children receive the educational preparation they need for school, while giving parents the flexibility of full day-care throughout the year. Children aged three to five are taught by a university-qualified teacher.

Boys are invited to continue their education at our Junior Campus, with a free multiple-visit transition program designed to give them the best start to their first year at school.

We invite you to consider a Principal’s Tour where visitors are guided in small groups by our staff and Student Leaders and is a great way to see the school in action.
