The College Rules and Regulations
1. The complete school uniform
is to be worn on all school days, and students are required
to have a change of clothing for sports training or physical
education classes.
2. All students are expected to take part in sport
organised by the school. They must play in representative teams if selected.
3. Students will not be exempt from formal physical
education classes without a written explanation from parents. A request for continued
absence should be supported with a medical certificate.
4. Students (except Year 12s, at lunch time) are not
permitted to leave the school grounds at any time without a written permission from
parents.
5. Smoking by students is not allowed at school activities
or while they are in school uniform.
6. Drugs and Alcohol.
- The possession of any drug (legal or illegal) or alcohol,
other than on prescription, is forbidden.
- The possession and / or sale of illegal drugs or alcohol
is an offence against the law and as such, the school will view either offence as a very
serious matter.
- Any student found SUPPLYING, BUYING OR SELLING alcohol or
illegal drugs faces immediate expulsion. The school may also notify the police in these
cases and especially if they relate to drugs.
- Any student found in POSSESSION of alcohol or illegal
drugs faces immediate suspension. Parents may be involved in a consultative process to
determine further action. This also applies to any students found IN POSSESSION of drug
related implements eg. pipes, bongs. Any student suspected of being in possession will be
interviewed and may be placed in internal suspension.
7. Student Drivers.
- Student drivers must have formal, written permission from
the Principal to drive to school.
- In addition, the carrying of passengers must be approved
by the parents of the passenger and the Principal.
- Forms are available from the Principal's Secretary.
- Students are reminded that the school is unable to offer
car parking facilities to students.
8. Students are expected to participate in the liturgical
celebrations and religious co-curricular activities of the College |
