Welcome

Welcome to the CBC Junior School Web page. We are one of the oldest Colleges in Adelaide - a vibrant, multicultural boys’ school in the city’s East End. We believe our boys receive a balanced, well-rounded education that prepares them for the world that they will inherit.

The Junior School campus is located on Wakefield Street, Adelaide, approximately 500 metres east of the Senior School campus. The Junior School has a student population approaching 240. We are bordered by the spacious Adelaide parklands, which provide plenty of grassy play areas and sports fields, set against the natural backdrop of the Adelaide Hills.
The City location means the College is easily accessible by public transport from every corner of metropolitan Adelaide.

Our school is well known for its high standard of student conduct and behaviour, its quality sports program, computer education, and its commitment to low fees for private education. Visitors to the College are impressed by the warmth and friendliness of our students, and the caring and inclusive practices of staff. We are part of a Reception-to-Year-12 College and enjoy access to specialist staff and resources.

Our aims adhere to the belief that no student shall dominate the proceedings of a class. We believe that all are equal in the eyes of God, and so individuals will be treated as such. The Christian Brothers’ ethos- that the education of the whole person (personal, spiritual, intellectual and physical) - is stressed in our classrooms and sportsfields. This is successfully based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and the life, work and inspiration of Edmund Rice (the founder of the Christian Brothers).

CBC Junior School is a happy learning environment for boys. It is a place of opportunity, excitement and growth for all those in our College community.
